I started actively going for chests. I opened probably 10 the other day. Chests since then have NOT spawned for me.

Is there a limit on how many chests you can open in a certain time period?

Note: I only play with heroes.

I've opened about 200 chests from the same general location today...I doubt theres a limit

I acctually have been doing solo this week and with heros last week...havent seena change in the number of chests and what not between the 2

I've only seen chests spawn when I help out some guildees.

NO chests spawn when I play by myself. I'm not talking on one area. Every single area I go, there aren't any chests.

Run north out of Boreal Station and see if any chests spawn in the area around the wurms. There's usually (99.9% of the time) a chest either at the top of the hill or down near the U turn.

They're spawning now. It's odd. This happens to me quite often. Chests don't spawn when it's just me for about 24 hours.

Also, if you ever decide to go for the vanquisher titles, it may be worth it to bring a couple of lockpicks for each vanquish. The retaining rate won't be great, but the vanquish and chest loot will pay for the picks, maybe even with a little profit.

I'll be doing that later. I was just hoping to get some decent items, which for me apparently is impossible. GW hates me. Lol

from what i gather ( from chest runners post in farming/campfire ) usually each zone has a number of spawned chests and where they are can depend on which end you start from.
Eg when doing mq vq and we`ve started from aspenwood gate lux - ive seen 4 to 5 chests spawn in almost same locations 8/10 times , but a few occasions weve started from breakers hollow for a few runs and the chests were located in diff spots.
And once or twice theres been no chests ( or were in places we never saw ).
Now a lot of chest runners will agree here - chests wont give you great items all of the time - not even in hm , ive had grapes when ive been first and next player got gold from same chest or ive had normal tomes.
Chests are hit and miss for good items and id guess that most ppl who do chest runs do it for treasure hunter title rather than get good items - bit like using zkeys - a lot of crap with a few nice weapons once in a while.

Btw just as a slight example - did around 10 mq vq runs and say avg of 4 chests a run i got maybe 3 elite tomes , about 10 golds and a few tomes with the rest being grapes - and the golds wasnt anything really worth writing home about - so dont be put off coz of bad items ok as it happens to any of us.

Its a good chest running spot but this is untrue. I've run around 4000 chests out of Boreal over the last few months, mostly there is one, occasionally two but also often there are none, even for a few runs in a row.

But to the OPs question, no, there is no daily limit, the spawns are just random. Consider a larger sample size (i.e. do it 1000 times not 10) and you'll get a better picture.

I've gotten some pretty cool stuff from chests in Urgoz and the Deep. You can also get some freaky mod combos on shields from chests in FoW.

Not true. Witman's Folly spawns 3 chests every time, regardless of Mode.
